Staying with 7 dogs was a new experience for me. We didn’t know each other at all, and had no idea what to expect of each other. They were very wary of me and stayed away, working as a pack to show their fierce side. It was like an episode of housewives. So many characters to get to know, so many different relationships among them. But I was hooked from the start and determined to get right in the middle of it.
Looking back now as I pack up my stuff it’s a totally different world. The pups are calmly snuggling with me on the chair, and in bed. We go outside as a pack and come back in as a pack without any drama. I settle disputes and offer comfort. I give treats, that’s the best part. I give treats. It’s all quiet and no drama. It’s so relaxing, but, it does make for terrible reality TV.
