Bedtime visits are the best. A quick trip outside and we can get down to the serious business of bedtime. First there’s snuggles and petting, followed by vigorous licks of the nose (mine, not his). 😆 Then a quick drink and we settle down for cookies and story time. Tonight, appropriately, was “If You Give A Max A Cookie” and “Goodnight Max.” 🥰 He listened lazily as I scratched his flank. Tomorrow I’m bringing my brush! As I got up to leave and turn off the lights he wanted to tell a joke himself. He started, a dog walks into a bar… 😉
